Under the bed:
This is going to be a bit of a disappointment, I know, but we rent a furnished house that came with 2 platform beds. And my child sleeps on a mattress on the floor. The baby doesn't have anything under his crib. Except maybe a dusty pacifier.
Also note the comforter that was part of the rental. Nice!
