WW: Ecofriendly, green toys

My boys have found some interesting things to play with this week.
On Saturday, we were at an organic market and purchased 2 sparrows in a bamboo cage for $1.20.

The boys took turns looking at the birds and holding the cage. After a few hours we let them go.

Yesterday, one of the neighbors gave Jojo a grasshopper to play with. He was really proud of it and used it as an action figure. He let it ride in his toy trucks.

I guess "eco friendly toys" are everywhere you look!

Just curious, what are the sparrows for? Pets or food?

That cage is so cute too, I'm sure the boys must like playing with that (maybe reenacting scenes from Apocalypse now or something :) )

I really, really love these pictures of your children with eco friendly toys.....:) Especially love that they knew how to observe/play with them without hurting them and then returning them to their habitat! I'm so glad you played along today!

Happy WW! Cool idea...

I invite your blog readers to see how bi-partisanship could work if we simply had a common purpose.

oh - lovely - we were at the park yesterday and my son found a grasshopper that was trying to fly - I looked at it and told him that it looked like someone had pulled his legs off - they were missing. He was so sad and upset - he wanted to bring the thing home.

How fantastic! Nothing like finding the "natural" in everything :)

We took our family natural a few months ago with out diet and I will never go back.
