Top of my "bento" box I purchased in China several years ago. It says "An intellectual world. I like delicate nature." That pretty much describes me, so I bought it:
Fresh spring rolls filled with sprouts, home made peanut butter, glass noodles, thai basil, and lettuce. Dipping sauce (red bowl), crushed peanuts (blue bowl), and bell peppers.
The spotty white stuff is dragon fruit, the hairy looking things are a fruit called rambutans, and the hearts are home made roll-out oatmeal cookies.

Wow, that is a beautiful lunch and looks delicious. :) I am adding you to my blog list to keep up with how you are doing. :D
Thanks for commenting on my blog- I think maybe part of the problem is that I read descriptions when I bought the "authentic" bento boxes- but didn't think of the practicalities.
The one I bought that had the most casualties (without dividers) was sold as a three tier bento but it said nowhere on that site- I saw on another that it is meant to be a family bento for picnics and such. It is HUGE. The other is the right size but I didn't have a "real" furoshiki- I think I am using the right word- the cloth they wrap them in to hold them steady, so we're going to get that worked out too.
The pics we tried to take tonight were too blurry with the flash and hopefully the sun will shine here tomorrow and we can get them then.
For tomorrows I am usings sushi grass as dividers and hopefully that will keep things a little better in place.
