We're starting a vegetable garden this year and I'm starting to use cloth pads for my cycle - bought a couple but I'm making a lot from my fabric stash. I think I might do the cloth napkins too, and some cloth wipes. :-) We use way too many paper towels currently, and I hate that!

Instead of letting my groceries be put in plastic I PLAN on buying a couple of those green totes that are for sale!
Thanks

Hi, I'm learning to conserve water by not letting the water run when brushing teeth. That's one way I'm starting to go green! I just subscribed to your feeds and blogged this giveaway here: http://doreens-scrap-wonderland.blogspot.com/2008/04/green-book.html for a total of three extra entries.

Oh and something that I PLAN on doing is getting some of those reusable bags instead of using plastic ones!

Duh, I am doing everything under the sun! Seriously, my family is always making changes but i am going to try harder to remember those reusable bags and take shorter showers. I can't do it all (I try) but we can all do something!

Changing to reusable bags.. and getting rid of ALL of the non natural cleaners in our house. We are about 50/50 right now on the cleaners.. but I want to switch over 100%

Happy Sunday! What a great idea. A Pay It Forward book to celebrate Earth Day. I have pledged this year to start our family on the green trail. We began by turning the temperature on the water heater. Then, all of us take shorter showers!
Please enter me in your informative book drawing. I know it would help me with my baby steps towards becoming more green. Thanks,Cindi

I am going to learn how to make compost for the organic salad garden I plan to put in the little space I have.

We just replaced our hog gas furnace with a Greenwood furnace. Burns all wood with NO smoke, and best of all, our house is now heated, oil/gas free!! We also are getting rid of all those horrible plastic bags and switching to canvas.

We plan on finding a local recycling place to drop off our burned out CFL bulbs instead of just throwing them away to prevent mercury leakage from broken bulbs!

I plan to start using cloth grocery bags.

Hmmm.. I plan on starting a compost bin because once we move I can have a real garden in the ground and not in pots! :)

I'm starting to get pretty fired up about becoming more green. One thing I've just decided is that we'll stop buying throwaway water bottles. We use about a case a week and I feel so bad when we throw away bottle after bottle. I just ordered some of those reusable water bottles that are free of dangerous chemicals. I can't wait until they get here.

We're starting to conserve water. It's one of those things we've always kind of taken for granted, but now we're being more conscious about leaving the water running.
